A day road trip to Samut Songkhram and Samut Sakhon

With COVID-19 destroying travel plans, among other serious issues, we have been doing nothing but staying at home. With the exception of going out for essentials, of course. It has been surreal.

Lately things have been looking better though. In the past few weeks, Thailand has been having 0 to very little cases.

Via GoogleAs a result, restrictions have eased. We noticed way more people out. Restaurants and malls have opened but with physical distancing protocols. Traffic has gone back to almost normal.

This is when we decided to do some domestic traveling. We felt it’s about time. However, we didn’t want to do anything too risky or go too far.

First, we thought we would take a day trip to Ratchaburi, which is a Thai destination on our immediate bucket list. Just before heading out, we changed our minds and went for something even less risky.

Instead, we chose to take a day trip to Samut Songkhram and Samut Sakhon. These two nearby (1.5 hours away) provinces…
