Pe Young Salmon Potato Yakisoba
I picked up this unusual instant yakisoba noodle from Candysan awhile back. It was a salmon potato flavour instead of your typical fried yakisoba sauce. I think I’ve only had a few noodles from Pe Young, a company that has been in business since 1929. Pe Young makes dry noodles amongst other things in Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture, and started manufacturing instant noodles in 1962. I think they are more famous for their “Pe Young Sauce Yakisoba” which was launched in 1975.This isn’t one of the large instant noodle bowls with a smaller tray, but it has a full sized block of noodles inside. I was quite intrigued by the salmon / potato flavour as it sounded like a workable combo and was different. From many things that I have had.
