SWR highlights sustainability efforts | Buying Business Travel
South Western Railway (SWR) has partnered with the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) as it highlights its sustainability efforts.The rail operator is celebrating Sustainability Week from 7 to 11 October to showcase its investments in delivering change for customers, communities, people and the environment by aiming to become a more sustainable company.Throughout this week, SWR will hold a series of events and make announcements, including publication of its progress in reducing the impact of its trains, depots and stations on the environment. The company will also give away 7,500 reusable coffee cups to passengers to encourage them to move away from single-use cups and will give the world an inside look at how it recycles paper waste and other material from across its network.The IEMA is a global professional body representing more than 15,000 members working in the environmental and sustainability fields.
